Benjamin Lacombe's Coraline illustrations have been cancelled....

NOTE JANUARY 2025: NEIL GAIMAN IS AN ABUSER, I WROTE THIS PIECE FAR BEFORE ANYONE KNEW. PLEASE READ THE SIDE OF NEIL GAIMAN HIS FANS NEVER SAW, BY LAUREN STARKE (TRIGGER WARNINGS APPLY)

*sigh* This would have been so good...

Not honestly sure entirely what has happened, but it appears Benjamin Lacombe's illustrated edition of Neil Gaiman's Coraline has been cancelled or dropped.

Sometimes, even if it’s a little disappointing , you got to let down some projects. Because it’s not the right moment, because you don’t feel it deep inside, because the stars aren't aligned. This is what is happening with my illustrated version of Coraline.
However Lacombe did post a illustration for Coraline so we aren't entirely missing out...

Here is one image I did for this project (it’s not completely finished)

Case for a Rookie Hangman (1970) Second Run announcement....

Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting, shoes and outdoor

That is a hare wearing a waistcoat, and carrying a watch.

Case for a Rookie Hangman (1970) is nominally a Gulliver's travels adaptation, but is also inspired by the works of Kafka and yes, Carroll.

More on this soon (hopefully!)

I only found out about this after reviewing Valerie and her Week of Wonders and Daisies, so I guess reviewing old Carroll inspired Czech films for down the Rabbit Hole Project was a really good idea!

Image via Second Run DVD, who have listed this for release soon...
